SHAUN BELCHER.
Born Oxford, England 1959, has
harboured delusions of artistic grandeur ever since
but has finally realised that the most significant
art forms of the 20th century are Eccles Cakes,
Arsenal F.C ( when they win-still depressed from our
exit from the Champions league -yes Bob I know Man.
U. are still there- thankyou!) and John Lee Hooker's
snakeskin boots.

This is ALWAYS on my list
Robert Earl Keen - WALKING DISTANCE

this CD are well documented.
LONG JOURNEY HOME - The soundtrack to the PBS series
"The Irish in America". Astounding stuff
abounds here, much of it due to the genius of Paddy
Maloney.
Arcady - MANY HAPPY RETURNS Lovers of traditional
celtic music will love this.
Lyle Lovett - STEP INSIDE THIS HOUSE Lovett pays
homage to some of the best Texas songwriters
(including a great take on Robert Earl Keen's
"Rolling By"). Listening to his take on
Townes' "Flyin Shoes" will bring a tear to
the eye.
Neal Casal - THE SUN RISES HERE I just can't get
Neal's brilliant song "The Last of My
Connections" out of my head. Why isn't this man
famous?
SONGS AND BALLADS OF THE ANTHRACITE MINERS An amazing
collection that captures the actual miners, not
professional musicians, singing and playing on these
moving songs. Anybody with coal in their blood should
hear this.
