Next Wave.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cc-chapman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/google_wave_logo.jpg\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This a response to some interesting issues raised by a CNET video on future of the book.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"364\" height=\"280\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.cnet.com\/av\/video\/flv\/universalPlayer\/universalSmall.swf\" \/><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"FlashVars\" value=\"playerType=embedded&#038;type=id&#038;value=50078919\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Basically the incoming changes are going to revolutionise the whole concept in a way that the music industry still trying to cope with&#8230;.see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/crime\/illegal-downloaders-spend-the-most-on-music-says-poll-1812776.html\">Independent article on music downloading<\/a> which reveals that illegal filesharers spend more on music thus any punitive measures will actually push music sales down not up&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>On offer by Xmas are Amazon&#8217;s Kindle&#8230;..<a href=\"http:\/\/www.plasticlogic.com\/\">Plastic Logic&#8217;s QUE <\/a>(if it ready) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/nook\/\">Barnes and Noble&#8217;s nook<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also in background is the new Apple flat tablet which being rebranded as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2009\/10\/26\/new-york-times-editor-refers-to-impending-apple-slate\/\">The Mac Slate apparently<\/a>&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Finally the next wave..literally could be a transition from the concept of any document, <a href=\"http:\/\/tadalafilforsale.net\/\" style=\"text-decoration:none;color:#676c6c\">online<\/a>  artwork being closed towards a newer model via initiatives like <a href=\"http:\/\/wave.google.com\/help\/wave\/about.html\">Google Wave<\/a>. In this  new model  the creator and the created become flexible concepts and a &#8216;conversation&#8217; is constantly in process&#8230;.like say watching the famous images of Picasso painting his work in the studio&#8230;frame by frame..or word by word the creation takes place live through blogs, <a href=\"http:\/\/viagragenericedpills.net\/\" style=\"text-decoration:none;color:#676c6c\">ed<\/a>  video streaming and image distribution e.g. Hockney&#8217;s use of the Iphone and &#8216;Brushes&#8217; app&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/brushesapp.com\/\">http:\/\/brushesapp.com\/<\/a><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_OvonoKii_ds\/StE_IQTsHyI\/AAAAAAAAEkk\/pUvv4GQqO78\/s1600\/nyreviewhockney2.jpg\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"527\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p><object width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/ExCQZ940Rbw&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><\/object><\/p>\n<p>One thing is for sure the future is here and nothing can stop the acceleration into new fields that bigger bandwidth and better hardware offer&#8230;..this blog a first step on that road..always updated it becomes not just a reflective journal ( hint students) but a &#8216;reactive&#8217; environment where ideas form, are broken, reform and then passed on&#8230;as in the true definition of a university we are starting a conversation&#8230;.the future is bright but it may not be just orange&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This a response to some interesting issues raised by a CNET video on future of the book.
