This is Shaun Belcher’s reflective journal for the Connect 2007 course.

REFLECTION AND EVALUATION

The module enables you to reflect upon the development and achievements during the programme. This will be regarded as part of PDP (Personal Development Planning).

Also the module will be concluded by in-depth critical account in the form of a presentation on your experiences of the programme.

Assessment will take into account the depth of objective analysis of your learning experience and the strategies employed in maintaining a progress file.

ASSIGNMENT 1: PROGRESS FILE =THIS BLOG = 70%

Personal progress file ( Blog) which will help you plan, nurse reflect on and evaluate your professional development and learning needs through the programme.

Should include:

  • a working timetable for the programme and/ or each module
  • a regularly updated working log (blog) recording progress
  • deadline June 16th 2008

 Assessment Criteria

  • level of organization
  • ability to manage own learning

ASSIGNMENT 2: CRITICAL EVALUATION=ORAL PRESENTATION 15 MINS = 30%

During the programme, cialis you will experience a range of contexts and environments in relation to arts practice, diagnosis which will enable you to engage with a range of practical and aesthetic considerations needed to show, develop and promote your work.

You are asked to reflect on your experiences during the programme, the development of your practice andyour developing knowledge of arts practice in a 15 minute oral presentation to your cohort, as well as University of Derby and Usher Gallery Staff, at either the 16th or 23rd June 2008 session.

Suggested areas to reflect  on and address in your presentation are:

  • your needs and aspirations at the start of the programme
  • Current position of practice
  • Your arts practice aims for the short, medium and long term including further development needs
  • You should use visual material in support of your presentation ( powerpoint/ artwork /video etc)

Assessment criteria

  • ability to express critical analysis in relation to practice
  • ability to identify future learning needs for the development of your practice
  • ability to communicate ideas to a professional standard

Assessment points

  • you must submit a completed assessment record form at your presentation
